Brief was a 2-bedroom turnkey for short-term rental at Collective Tower 2, Dubai Hills. Twenty days, family-ready, brass throughout.

The rug is our statement piece. Scallop-edged, checkerboard in rust and slate-blue — bigger and more confident than what most Dubai 2-beds get. Brass arc chandelier overhead, brass floor lamp by the TV, reeded wall panel behind it, arched-door credenza with brass knobs.

The building gave us a black-and-white geometric tile in the kitchen and bathroom. We left it as the rhythm.

Kids' room sits behind the glass partition — twin beds, cream channel headboards, cluster pendant overhead, abstract block art in rust and navy. Visible from the sofa, sleepable when curtains are drawn.

Master is the private half. Channel-tufted headboard, horizontal landscape painting, cane vanity with a brass-framed pebble mirror, sage chair. Emerald lamps to thread the green forward.

Balcony got white metal seating, striped cushions, a green geometric rug.
